Hats Away– Terms and Conditions

1. Hire Agreement

 

By hiring from Hats Away you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. The hire period, hire fees, security deposit, and return date will be clearly stated in your booking confirmation.

2. Hire Period

 

The standard hire period is also stated, including the collection and return day. Late returns will incur a daily late fee of £10 per day unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 

3. Security Deposit

 

A refundable security deposit as listed is required at the time of booking. This will be refunded upon return of the hat in its original condition, less any charges for damage, loss, or cleaning.

 

4. Condition of Goods

 

All hats and bags are hired in clean and wearable condition. The customer is responsible for inspecting the item at the time of collection or delivery. Any issues must be reported immediately.

 

5. Damage, Loss or Theft

 

The customer is liable for the full cost of repair or replacement (listed as purchase price) of any hat or bag that is returned damaged, lost, or stolen during the hire period. Minor wear may be considered reasonable, but any major damage (e.g., rips, stains, broken trims) may result in forfeiture of the deposit or additional charges.

 

6. Cleaning

 

Please do not attempt to clean the item yourself. We handle all cleaning. If additional cleaning is required due to misuse (e.g., makeup stains, food, or drink damage), an additional cleaning fee may apply.

 

7. Cancellations and Refunds

•Cancellations made more than 7 days before the hire start date will receive a full refund.

•Cancellations within 3 days may forfeit part or all of the hire fee.

•No refund will be given for no-shows or late returns.

 

8. Use of Items

 

Items are to be used for their intended purpose (e.g., fashion or event wear). Hats must not be altered, modified, items are not to be used in adverse weather conditions without prior consent.

 

9. Liability

 

Hats Away accepts no responsibility for any injury or damage resulting from the use or misuse of hired items.

 

10. Privacy

 

Customer information will be kept secure and only used for the purpose of processing hires, unless consent is given for marketing or future contact.
